2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 Transmission Rebuild in Bowling Green, KY

If you are from around here, you know people sure do love to hunt. We received a call from our now customer stating "My huntin truck is down, she needs a transmission, can yall help?". I swear to you that is verbatim what and how the customer said it! What do you think we replied with? Of course we can good sir, would you like a free tow for us to come pick her up? Why yes, of course! And off we went, tow truck key in hand.

After picking up this lovely truck, we got to looking at it. When the vehicle got hot it wanted to stop pulling (moving) altogether. If you have kept up with our articles, you know what this means. If you haven't then go take a peak at some other articles to understand how this effect's the transmission and what could be wrong. Needless to say though, this unit had to come out. So, we got to work!

With the transmission out we completed an RDI (Remove, Disassemble, Inspect). Coming to the conclusion rather quickly that this unit needs to be rebuilt completely. With metal throughout the entire transmission, it was impossible to just do a basic repair. We went in and did our standard build practice with a baseline tune to increase longevity of the transmission. All of this to say that the vehicle is now driving smooth as butter after getting a transmission rebuild, and the customer was very happy to have his hunting truck back in Bowling Green, KY.
